M-chat is a lightweight browser translation extension for chats, messages and everyday web text. Translate without switching tabs: write in your language, focus the text field, and run the M-chat shortcut. For incoming text, select a phrase or use the context menu to translate it. Main features: • Normal mode — clear, neutral translation. • Slang mode — conversational English with common shorthand and informal phrasing. • Configurable keyboard shortcut — Alt + A on Windows and Option + A on macOS by default. • Translation of selected text on web pages. • Right-click “Translate with M-chat” action. • Choice of translation provider, including automatic selection. • Separate incoming and outgoing language settings. • Per-site auto-translation controls and exclusions. • Light, dark and automatic interface themes. • English and Russian interface support. Privacy: M-chat processes only text that the user explicitly asks to translate. Translation text is transmitted over HTTPS to the translation provider selected in the extension. M-chat does not maintain its own translation history. Local preferences are stored in the browser.
