Shows a translation below each lyric line on Spotify Web. The lines are sent to Google Translate.

LyriLang shows the translation of each lyric line right below the original line, on the lyrics screen of Spotify Web (open.spotify.com). Great for understanding songs in other languages and for learning a language through music. FEATURES • Line-by-line translation in a smaller font under each lyric line, following the song as it plays. • 21 target languages, chosen in the toolbar popup. Translation can be turned on and off at any time. • Translations are cached in your browser for 30 days, so the same song is not translated again. A button in the popup clears them. • Custom lyrics look: background color, current line and other lines colors, text shadow, or your own image as a wallpaper (fill or whole image, focus point and darkening). On Spotify, the look options open in a side panel next to the lyrics, so you see each change live. • Interface in English and Brazilian Portuguese. HOW TO USE 1. Open Spotify Web and play a song that has lyrics. 2. Open the lyrics screen (microphone button in the playback bar). 3. The translation appears under each line. Use the toolbar icon to pick the language or turn it off. PRIVACY To translate, the text of the lyric lines shown on screen (without repeated lines) and the target language are sent to Google Translate (translate.googleapis.com). Nothing else is sent: no song title, artist, Spotify account, cookies or browsing history. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no server of our own.
