Translate any video's subtitles into your language — while you watch. LynSub adds AI-translated subtitles to almost any video on the web. If the video already has a subtitle track, LynSub translates it. If it has no subtitles at all, LynSub listens to the audio, transcribes the speech, and builds them from scratch. Either way the translated lines appear over the player, in sync, cue by cue, as the video plays. A line like "Get it?" comes back as nonsense, because nothing told the translator who was speaking or what was said thirty seconds earlier. LynSub translates in context. It follows who is speaking across a scene, works out how the characters relate to one another, and carries that through the rest of the dialogue. That matters enormously in any language where you must choose a form of address — Japanese keigo, Korean speech levels, Spanish tu/usted, German du/Sie, Vietnamese anh/chi/em, v.v. The result reads like dialogue instead of a lookup table. WHERE IT WORKS LynSub works on standard HTML5 video across the web: lecture recordings, conference talks, news clips, documentaries, interviews, course platforms and self-hosted players. It does not work on DRM-protected video. Services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video encrypt their streams, and LynSub deliberately does not try to get around that.
