Overview

New tab dashboard with customizable widgets — weather, calendar, tasks, Spotify, GitHub & more. Private and local-first.

Lux replaces the new tab page with a dashboard — a grid of widgets you arrange yourself, in a glassy light or dark theme. It runs in your browser, and there's no Lux account to sign up for. WIDGETS • AniList — your anime and manga list, what you're behind on, and notifications • Calendar — your Google and Outlook events, read-only • GitHub — your contribution graph, notifications, and releases from the repositories you watch • Image — your own photos, as a single image or a slideshow • News — headlines from the publishers you pick, opened on their own sites • Note — a scratch note, saved as you type • Quick Access — pinned links, bookmarks, history, recently closed tabs, and top sites • Spotify — now playing, full playback controls, and search your library to play (Premium required to control) • Sports — live and upcoming scores for the leagues and teams you follow • Stocks — a watchlist of live quotes with a chart • Tasks — a local to-do list • Weather — current conditions and forecast for the places you choose CUSTOMIZING • Drag, drop, and resize widgets on a snapping grid — add as many as you like, even more than one of the same kind • Give each widget its own surface: translucent Glass or opaque Solid • Light and dark themes, and your own image as the background • Keyboard shortcuts for settings, layout editing, the widget palette, grid lines, and the theme — all rebindable • Export your setup to a file and restore it later, or on another computer PRIVACY Your dashboard and settings stay in your browser. There's no Lux account, no tracking, and no analytics of any kind. Optional widgets connect to Google, Outlook, Spotify, GitHub, or AniList only when you choose, and that data goes straight from your browser to the provider. Nothing is sent on its own — the only thing Lux forwards is feedback you write and submit yourself. CONNECTING A GOOGLE ACCOUNT Google may show an "app isn't verified" warning while Lux completes Google's OAuth review. It's safe to continue: Lux asks for read-only calendar access, and your events stay in your browser. Free and open source.
