Lumadia
Overview
Read scanned PDFs and images in dark mode: invert, darken and adjust them in view, without changing the file.
Lumadia opens your PDFs in its own viewer and lets you change how they look while you read, without changing the file. It was made for scanned books and old printed pages, which most dark modes cannot touch: a scan is a picture, so recolouring text does nothing. Lumadia filters the picture itself. In the PDF viewer • Dark: invert the page, plainly or keeping colours' hue, so a white page becomes a dark one. • Clean up a scan: levels, contrast, grayscale, brightness and saturation. • Warmth for night reading, and correction for colour-vision deficiency. • Per-page settings, for the colour plate that should never be inverted. • Find, page thumbnails and outline, page labels, rotation, spreads and presentation mode. • Fillable PDF forms. • One click back to Chrome's own viewer; printing and downloading always use the original file. On web pages • Turn image filtering on for the sites you choose, from the toolbar button. • Or right-click any image and choose "View with Lumadia" to adjust just that one. • Images opened in their own tab get the same viewer. Light, Dark, or Match your system. Switch Lumadia off at any time to see every document as it is. Your settings stay in your browser. Lumadia has no account and no server, and it collects nothing. Requires Chrome 151 or later.
