Luft: Game Limiter for Chess.com
Overview
Free daily game limits for chess.com, and a break between games. No account needed. By Luft. Not affiliated with Chess.com.
Set a daily limit for each kind of chess.com game, and stick to it. Free, and no account needed. Pick how many bullet, blitz and rapid games you want a day, and how many daily moves. The extension counts your games as you play. When a limit is used up, Start Game, Rematch, the quick start on chess.com's home page and Challenge Link stop working for that time control. When every limit is used up, the play page sends you back home. New limits start the next day, so a rough evening can't talk you into more games. Turning limits off waits a day too. Turning them on is instant. Break between games: off unless you turn it on. Pick a pause after each game, in 15 minute steps up to 4 hours. After a bullet, blitz or rapid game ends, new games, rematches and challenges wait until the break is over. Playing the computer stays open. The popup shows when the next game can start. Aborted games don't count. Games you play in the chess.com phone app count too (from chess.com's public game list), but the extension can only stop play in Chrome. It finds chess.com's buttons by how the page is built, not by their words, so it works whatever language chess.com is set to. Click the toolbar button to see today's games against each limit. The gear opens your limits. Luft (lufthq.com) is optional: a study companion that turns your own games into openings to learn. Connect it and your limits and daily counts sync with your account. When you hit a limit, the note links there. Used Game Limiter for Chess.com? This is the same extension with a new name. Your limits and today's counts carry over, and the popup shows a one-time note. What it reads: chess.com pages, to see when a game ends and who's signed in, and chess.com's public list of your games. Without a Luft account, nothing else leaves your browser. Connected, it sends your daily counts to your Luft account and syncs your limits. No ads, no tracking, nothing sold. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Chess.com. New in 2.2.0 Game Limiter is now Luft. Same limits, same counts. An optional break between games. Works whatever language chess.com is set to. The home page's quick start and Challenge Link respect your limits. Aborted games don't count. Still free, still no account needed.
