Watch the same moment. Share the reaction. SceneChat adds a compact conversation beside browser videos in Chrome's side panel. Timestamped reactions appear when playback reaches their moment and follow along when you pause, seek, or replay. What you can do: - Read and post timestamped reactions. - Like another viewer's reaction and undo your like. - See your reaction count and likes received on shared viewer reactions. - Use automatic video-title detection, with optional title and timing corrections. - Report reactions, hide viewers, delete your own reactions, recover your password, or delete your account. SceneChat also includes local sample reactions selected from preset phrases, with generated like counts. These are simulated activity, not comments or votes from other viewers. Sample reactions and your likes on them stay in this browser and do not count toward shared profile statistics. They do not analyze the scene's meaning or send video to an AI service. Create an email account, choose a username, and verify your email to post and like. Community activity varies by video; a video may have no reactions from other viewers. Video support and matching: SceneChat tracks standard browser video players and permitted embedded players. It can use video-page metadata and catalog lookups to identify titles. Experimental matching uses compact fingerprints from readable frames or subtitle cues to help align different copies. Uncertain matches stay on separate timelines. Coverage varies by website, and protected or custom players can limit detection and matching. Future timestamped reactions stay hidden until playback reaches them. This cannot prevent someone from writing a spoiler at an early timestamp. Privacy: Firebase provides accounts and shared community data. Automatic title lookups may query TVmaze or Wikidata. Raw video files, audio, frames, and subtitle text are not uploaded. See the privacy policy for details about metadata, matching fingerprints, storage, and account deletion. SceneChat accompanies your existing player. It does not provide movies, subscriptions, or access to streaming services.
