Clipbase turns your everyday web browsing into an organised research workspace. Instead of losing useful information across dozens of open tabs, you can capture exactly what matters and find it again later — without leaving the page you are reading. How it works Highlight any text on any webpage and a small toolbar appears near your selection. Click 'Clip this' to save it. Clipbase stores the highlight and remembers exactly where it was on the page, so the next time you visit, your highlights are restored automatically — even on pages with complex layouts, inline links, or dynamically loaded content. Notes Every highlight can have a note attached. After clipping a piece of text, an optional note panel appears where you can write down your thoughts, questions, or context before saving. Notes can be edited or deleted any time from the side panel. Collections Group your highlights into named, colour-coded collections to keep different research threads separate. Assign a highlight to a collection when you clip it, or organise them later from the side panel. Filter your highlights by collection to focus on one topic at a time. Side panel workspace Everything you have saved lives in the side panel — searchable, organised, and always one click away. Each highlight shows the page it came from as a clickable link so you can jump back to the source instantly. Controls The annotator can be turned off globally or for specific websites when you just want to read without it getting in the way. Re-enable any site at any time from the settings panel. Privacy All your highlights, notes, and collections are stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to any server. Clipbase does not track your browsing or collect any personal data.
