Loquent types what you say into any text box on the web. Press a shortcut, talk, and your words are pasted where your cursor is, cleaned up and punctuated. It also records meetings that run in a Chrome tab and writes the notes for you. HOW IT WORKS 1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Space on any website. You can change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. 2. A small pill appears while Loquent listens. Speak normally. 3. Press the shortcut again. Your words are transcribed, cleaned up and pasted into the field you were typing in. WRITING • Works in any text field: email, chat, documents, forms, social posts and AI chat boxes. • Polished removes filler words and fixes grammar and punctuation. Express pastes exactly what you said. Compose writes something for you from a short instruction. • Say "Hey Lucy" to give an instruction instead of dictating, like "Hey Lucy, reply that Thursday works for me". • Translate: pick one of 49 languages and what you say is pasted in that language. • Dictionary and snippets: teach it names, brands and jargon, and turn short phrases into full text. MEETINGS • Record a meeting that runs in a Chrome tab, like Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams in the browser. Press Alt+Shift+M, or start it from the Meetings page. • Loquent records the tab's audio and your microphone, and writes a transcript marked You and Them. • Get a summary with action items, play the recording back, and download the audio, Markdown or plain text. • Share a meeting with one link. People read it in their browser and can sign in free to download PDF, Word, subtitles and more. PRIVACY • Dictation audio is sent to be transcribed (to Loquent's servers, or straight to OpenAI if you add your own API key) and Loquent does not store it. • Meeting recordings are saved in your browser on this computer. Sharing a meeting sends only its summary and transcript, never the audio. PLANS • A free Loquent account is required. • Free: 2,000 cloud words a week, dictation and meetings combined. • Pro: $5 a month or $48 a year for unlimited words, plus unlimited dictionary words and snippets. PERMISSIONS • Microphone (asked the first time you record): to hear you when you dictate or record a meeting. • Active tab and scripting: to paste your text into the field you are typing in. • Clipboard: to copy your text when a page won't accept a direct paste, and for the copy buttons. • Tab capture: to record the audio of the meeting tab you choose. • Offscreen document: to keep recording while you work in the page. • Storage and unlimited storage: to keep your settings and your meeting recordings on this computer.
