Overview

Record any area, a whole tab or your whole screen as a crisp, tiny GIF, then trim, crop, annotate and share it. MP4 export too.

Show it, don't explain it. LoopShot records any part of a web page, a whole tab or your whole screen as a crisp, tiny animated GIF, then lets you trim, crop, annotate and share it. It's perfect for bug reports, pull requests, docs, tutorials and product demos. HOW IT WORKS • Click the LoopShot icon or press Alt+Shift+G. • Drag over the area you want, pick a page element, or click "Record whole tab". • Need more than the browser? Click "Whole screen" to record your entire screen or any app window. • Press Record. After a 3-2-1 countdown, use the page as usual. Your cursor and clicks are drawn in. • Press Stop. Your GIF opens in a new tab, ready to download, edit or share. • Or press Screenshot for a PNG of the area. EDIT IN SECONDS • Trim the start and end, crop, and speed it up or slow it down. • Save GIFs sized for Slack, Discord, GitHub or email. • Right-click any GIF on the web and choose "Edit with LoopShot", or open one from your computer. SMALL FILES, SHARP PIXELS • Only the pixels that change between frames are stored, so screen recordings stay tiny. • Records at your screen's full resolution, with a palette tuned for every frame. • The Stop button sits outside the recorded area, so it never shows up in your GIF. • Your 12 most recent recordings stay in your browser. PRIVATE • Everything is recorded and encoded on your computer. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share a GIF, and you can delete a shared GIF at any time. No accounts, analytics or ads. FREE AND PRO • Free: up to 5 seconds at 15 fps (800 px wide), trim, crop, speed, size presets and screenshots, with a small LoopShot watermark. • Pro ($0.99, one-time): up to 15 seconds at 50 fps (1600 px wide), no watermark or your own logo, arrows, boxes, text and blur, MP4 and WebM export, share links that can expire, joining clips, and a cursor spotlight with on-screen keystrokes. No subscription and no account.
