LoopCam - Virtual Camera for Meetings
Overview
Virtual camera for video calls in your browser. Loop a recorded clip, an image or a video as your webcam feed.
LoopCam is a virtual camera for browser-based video calls. Record a few seconds of yourself, upload an image or a video, and use it as your webcam feed. Switch back to your live camera with one tap. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Record a loop: pick 5 to 20 seconds, count down and record right from the extension panel. LoopCam replays it seamlessly as your video. • Upload your own media: use a photo (up to 5 MB) or a video (up to 24 MB) as your camera feed. • Ghost camera: see your live camera overlaid on the loop so you can line up your pose before switching. • Instant switch: move between your loop and your live camera during a call without black frames. • Name label: show an on-screen name tag on your video. • Reactions: send emoji that float over your video for everyone in the call to see. • Fit or fill framing, real or muted microphone, English and Spanish interface. WORKS WITH The web versions of Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other video call sites that run in the browser. Desktop apps are not supported. TIP Just open your meeting and turn on your camera: LoopCam takes over automatically, with no settings to change in your meeting app. Record your loop at any time, even during the call, and switch between it and your live camera whenever you want. GOOD TO KNOW • Microsoft Teams may not work in Microsoft Edge, because Edge can block extensions inside Teams meetings. If that happens, join the meeting from Google Chrome. • If your loop doesn't show up right after you allow camera access, or after you pick “LoopCam Virtual Camera” in your meeting's camera settings, reload the meeting page. This shouldn't normally be needed, but some sites only pick up the change after a reload. PRIVACY Your clips never leave your device. LoopCam has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no ads, and it makes no network requests of its own. Everything is stored locally in your browser. Your clip is erased when you close the browser, and every session starts with the loop off.
