Overview

Parental content filter — blocks bad sites locally and sanitizes individual comments/sections using server-side AI classification.

WebSafe reads what's actually on a page — the meaning of a sentence, what an image shows — instead of just matching a list of banned words or sites. That's what catches euphemisms, implication, and content a keyword filter misses entirely, on any site, not just ones someone pre-approved. HOW IT WORKS • A five-minute setup: create an account, add your child's profile (their age sets sensible starting thresholds), install WebSafe on their browser, and link it with a one-time 5-digit code. No password ever touches their device. • Known bad sites are blocked instantly and locally — no network round-trip, works even if our servers are unreachable. • Everything else is read in context: individual words or sections get redacted, specific images or video get blurred, and whole pages get removed, based on the sensitivity thresholds you set per child. • You tune keyword and domain lists yourself, on top of the AI layer. WHAT YOU SEE — AND WHAT YOU DON'T Your dashboard shows a category and how often it came up — "violence, 3 times this week" — never the specific page, image, or words involved. That's deliberate: a running transcript of exactly what your child looked at would turn every conversation into cross-examination. A pattern gives you something to actually act on — a moment to check in, or adjust a setting — without either of you reliving one specific page together. We can't recover it even if we wanted to: content sent for classification is scored and immediately discarded, never written to a database. Full privacy policy: https://websafe.nz/privacy BUILT FOR REAL PAGES, NOT JUST A DEMO • Works on dynamically-loaded content, infinite-scroll feeds, and lazy-loaded images — not just content present at page load. • Blurred or pending content can't be clicked through to navigate anywhere until it's cleared. • Fails open, not closed: if our servers are briefly unreachable, browsing keeps working — only local keyword and domain filtering apply until the connection is back. WebSafe is independently developed, not affiliated with any browser vendor.
