Overview

Capture the visible area or the entire scrolling page, then save it as PNG, JPEG, or a multi-page PDF.

Longshot takes a screenshot of an entire web page, not just the part you can see. Choose "Whole scrolling page" and it scrolls from top to bottom, capturing a screen at a time and stitching the strips into one image. Your scroll position is put back exactly as you left it. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Most full-page capture tools miss anything that scrolls on its own. Longshot unrolls those too: open dropdowns and listboxes, modal bodies, chat logs, sidebars, data-table bodies, nested panels, and panels inside a web component's shadow root all open to full length before the shot, so their whole contents land in the image instead of the sliver you can see. SAVE IT HOW YOU NEED IT - PNG — lossless, one continuous tall image - JPEG — the same image at a fraction of the size, with a quality slider - PDF — split across A4, Letter or Legal pages, portrait or landscape Pick PDF and dashed guides show you exactly where every page break will land before you save. Captures longer than three printed pages select PDF automatically, because a nine-screen page is unreadable as a single image. CAPTURING AN OPEN MENU Opening any extension's popup takes focus off the page, which closes most dropdowns. Press Alt+Shift+F instead: it captures the whole page with panels unrolled without ever opening the popup, so focus stays where it is. PRIVACY Your captures never leave your computer. There is no server, no account, and no network code anywhere in this extension. Captures are held in local browser storage and cleared an hour after they are taken. KNOWN LIMITS Native select menus are drawn by your operating system rather than the page, so no extension can capture them — custom HTML dropdowns work fine. Virtualised lists only show the rows currently loaded. Horizontal scrollers are left as they are.
