Lodgr Accommodation Discovery surfaces short-term rental suggestions from Lodgr, Airbnb and VRBO while you browse travel, events, and accommodation websites — finding you a place to stay in the context of wherever you're already looking. WHAT IT DOES When you visit a travel-relevant page — an event listing, a venue page, a sports fixture, a destination guide, or an accommodation platform — the extension identifies whether the page is contextually relevant and surfaces a Lodgr suggestion panel with nearby short-term rental options matched to the location implied by the page. ELIGIBILITY SCREENING The extension does not activate on every website. Before any AI model is consulted or any network request is made, every page is evaluated locally on your device through two fast, on-device layers: There is a strict decision layer that uses industry-standard frameworks and taxonomies for filtering, reject all inapplicable and irrelevant sites across the web. Any sensitive site activity can be sure to be disregarded by the injection system. DATA CAPTURE For pages that clear the eligibility gate, a sanitized structural snapshot of the page is captured to determine travel relevance, with this snapshot: - Excluding all user-entered content - Excludes all payment forms and card inputs from third-party providers - For thorough, clean data in depth, excludes any matched residual sensitive patterns (card numbers, government ID formats, email addresses) PRIVACY FIRST • AI classification of eligible pages. Only for pages that pass local screening, the extension sends a sanitized structural textual snapshot. All user-entered text is stripped, cross-origin frames (payment and login widgets) are excluded, and payment-card, government-ID, and email patterns are filtered out on-device before transmission. Snapshots are captured before you interact with the page and are not retained after the classification result is returned. • Anonymous shared cache. Classification results are cached locally using hashed URL patterns only — no full URLs, page titles, timestamps, or personal information — and contributed to a shared server-side cache as anonymous reports carrying no user or account identifier, so future visitors to the same type of page skip the AI call entirely. A random installation identifier authenticates these requests as an anti-abuse measure but is never stored with the data. • Anonymous interaction signals. When a suggestion component appears, the extension may send impression-level signals — a fresh random per-impression ID, the hashed page pattern, component type, visibility timing, and outcome (clicked, dismissed, ignored) — used solely to measure and improve suggestion quality. These carry no user identifier, full URL, or page content, and cannot be linked to you or across impressions. • No tracking, no selling, full control. Lodgr does not build user profiles, track your browsing across websites, target advertising, or sell any data. Preferences and blocked sites are stored only on your device. You can dismiss any suggestion, block any site from future suggestions, or remove the extension at any time — removal also clears the local cache.
