Overview

Save pages with notes, tags and highlights, read them in a clean reader, and search every word you saved. Stored in your browser.

Marked keeps the pages you want to come back to, with the reason you kept them: your note, the passage you highlighted, a short abstract and tags. It all stays in your browser, separate from Chrome's bookmarks. • Save a page with the Marked button, Add to Marked in the right-click menu, or Alt+Shift+M, then name, file and tag it right on the page. On X, right-click a post to save it. • Select text and click Highlight, or press Alt+Shift+H, to highlight it in one of five colors, with a note if you like. • Search every word of the pages you saved, and read them in a clean reader, even after a page is gone. Type "mk" and a space in the address bar to search from anywhere. • Organize with folders, tags and notes. Merge duplicates, save all open tabs as a folder, and find related bookmarks. • Import your Chrome bookmarks, a bookmarks file, or everything you've bookmarked on X. Chrome's own bookmarks are never changed. Export a backup, a bookmarks file, or your notes and highlights as Markdown. • Optional: chat with your library using Qwen3 4B on your GPU. It needs WebGPU and a one-time 2.3 GB download. • Optional: with your own TypeSafe API key (a paid service), search by meaning and tag the posts you import from X. No account, no server of ours, no analytics. Reading the pages you visit is optional: Marked asks first, and uses it to show the Highlight button, bring back your highlights and count related bookmarks. Saving works without it, and Marked never reads what you type into forms. Other services are contacted only for the features you use: X (to show and import your posts), Hacker News and GitHub (cards for their pages), the sites you saved (to download their text), Hugging Face (the chat model) and TypeSafe (only after you agree).
