Overview
Protect sensitive information in any web app with Locki
Locki is a privacy-first browser extension that makes encryption simple, practical, and accessible. It empowers people to protect sensitive data right where they work - in browsers, documents, chats, or forms - without leaving the page or trusting external servers. Whether you're a developer sharing credentials, a business managing confidential information, or simply someone who values privacy, Locki ensures that your words stay yours - private, secure, and easy to control. After installing the extension, follow these steps to get started: - Click the Locki icon in your browser toolbar to open the extension. - Create your first Locki Key to start encrypting and decrypting data. - Explore the key management options to customize your setup. - Open any web app with a text field, and use Locki to encrypt/decrypt inline. - Encrypt/decrypt functions are accessible via right-click context menu. When the encrypted text is sent - The recipient must also have Locki installed to decrypt the message. - They will need access to the same Locki Key used for encryption. - Without the correct key, the encrypted data remains secure and unreadable. Best Practices - Backup your keys in a secure password manager. - Use strong passwords for exporting keys (12+ characters). - Organize keys by project or team. - Rotate keys periodically for enhanced security. #encryption #decryption #datasecurity #privacy #sensitive #dlp #productivity #locki
