Local Share is a Chrome side panel companion that sends links, files, and clipboard text from your computer to your phone (or any other device in the same Local Share room). Transfers use peer-to-peer WebRTC when possible — file contents are not uploaded to cloud storage. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install this extension and open the Local Share side panel. 2. On your phone (or another computer), open https://share.webinvade.rs and join the same room (same Wi‑Fi/LAN is fastest; a room code works across networks). 3. Pick a device, then send the current tab link, clipboard text, or files. Right-click a page, selection, link, image, or video to send it in one click. FEATURES - Side panel UI — always ready next to your browsing - Send current tab URL with one click - Send clipboard text to another device - Send files and text from the More / share flow - Right-click context menus: page, selection, link, image, video - Optional browser notifications for incoming transfers - Optional keep-alive so you stay in the room when the panel is closed - Trust / auto-accept settings, with optional sync from an open Local Share tab PRIVACY AND SAFETY - Designed so file bytes go device-to-device over WebRTC when a direct peer connection is available - The signaling server at share.webinvade.rs is used to discover peers and exchange connection messages — it is not a file-hosting cloud for your transfers - No account is required to use Local Share - Permissions are used only when you take an action (send link, read clipboard, fetch a media URL you chose to send, etc.) - Settings (device name, room, trust, preferences) stay in Chrome local storage on your machine WHY THIS EXTENSION NEEDS THE INTERNET - To join a room and exchange WebRTC signaling with https://share.webinvade.rs - To use a public STUN server so browsers can establish the peer connection - Optionally, to download an image, video, or URL you explicitly chose to send as a file Internet is not used to store your files in a cloud drive operated by this extension.
