Encrypt logins on your device with a master password. Autofill sites and save logins locally—no cloud or account. Local Password Manager keeps your logins on your computer—encrypted with a master password you choose—and helps you sign in faster on websites. What you get Encrypted vault – Passwords are protected with your master password before they are stored in the browser. Autofill – On matching sites, the extension can fill email/username and password into common login forms when your vault is unlocked. Optional capture – After you unlock, logins you submit on websites can be saved or updated (same site + same username updates the password). Lock – Lock the vault when you’re done; saved data stays encrypted on disk. Important No built‑in cloud sync – Data stays in this browser profile unless you use separate Chrome sync/backup outside this extension. If you forget your master password, stored logins cannot be recovered – by design. Some sites use unusual or embedded login UIs; if autofill or capture fails, you can still add or edit entries from the extension popup. Permissions (plain language) Storage – Save your encrypted vault locally. Scripting / active tab – Fill the page you’re on when you ask the extension to. Access to websites (HTTP/HTTPS) – Read login fields only to autofill or capture after unlock, on pages you visit.
