Local AI Subtitle is a privacy-first subtitle generator that runs 100% locally in your browser using WebGPU. No audio files are uploaded to any server — everything is processed on your device. ► KEY FEATURES • Offline Mode — Transcribe and translate local audio/video files in batch. Supports MP3, WAV, MP4, MKV, WebM and more. • Realtime Mode — Live speech-to-text and translation for the current browser tab, capturing and transcribing audio in real time with results shown in the side panel. • AI Translation — Translate subtitles into 15+ languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, and more. • Bilingual Subtitles — Export original + translated subtitles side by side. • Subtitle Export — Download subtitles in SRT format. • History — All transcriptions are saved locally for easy access. ► WHY CHOOSE LOCAL AI SUBTITLE? Click the extension icon to open the side panel 2. Switch to Offline Mode 3. Select transcription language (and optionally translation language) 4. Drag or import audio/video files 5. Click Start — subtitles will be generated and can be exported as SRT/TXT Realtime Mode: 1. Click the extension icon to open the side panel 2. Switch to Realtime Mode 3. Select transcription language (and optionally translation language) 4. Click Start — the extension will capture and transcribe the current tab's audio in real time, with results shown in the side panel AI models are downloaded automatically on first use. Once downloaded, the extension works offline without internet. ► REQUIREMENTS • Chrome 113+ with WebGPU support • A dedicated GPU with 8GB+ VRAM is recommended for best performance
