Hear2Text turns what plays in your browser into text. Record a tab, your microphone or a desktop app, or add a file or a link, then read the result in the side panel, on heartotext.com or in the Hear2Text apps for iPhone and Android. Your own voice can be mixed in from the microphone. • Lectures, webinars, podcasts and videos playing in a tab, even when they have no captions. • A desktop app's sound, through Chrome's screen picker, where your computer shares system audio. • Audio and video files from your computer, and links to media pages. READING AND SHARING • Speaker labels and timestamps on every line. • More than 100 spoken languages. • Copy in one click, or export as TXT. Unlimited adds SRT, Word and PDF. • Translation and AI questions about a recording: free accounts get a few to try, Unlimited has them all. • Search, favourites and workspaces in the side panel. • Notifications when your text is ready or a recording needs you, each with its own switch. A weekly reminder of your free minutes is there too, off unless you turn it on. PRIVACY AND CONSENT • Nothing is recorded until you press Record, and Chrome shows its own indicator while a tab is captured. • Before you sign in, Hear2Text shows exactly what it sends and asks you to agree: your recordings, files and links go to heartotext.com and are turned into text on our own servers. Only the resulting text, never audio, goes to OpenAI for titles, translation and AI chat. • No browsing history, no ads and no analytics in the extension. • Recording a call? Let everyone know first.
