Signvrse Meeting Capture

Streams your Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting audio and microphone to Signvrse for live sign-language interpretation.

Signvrse Meeting Capture streams your meeting's audio to Signvrse so a live signing avatar can interpret it in real time for the people in your meeting. Use it together with the Signvrse Meet add-on (Google Meet) or Signvrse Teams add-on (Microsoft Teams): start interpretation from the add-on's side panel, then click this Chrome extension's icon in the meeting tab and press Start capture. Participants see the signing avatar in the Signvrse side panel. The Chrome extension has no window of its own beyond its toolbar popup. What it does: - Captures the audio of the meeting tab you start it on, together with your microphone, so what you say is interpreted as well as what you hear. Your microphone is turned down automatically while others are talking, so speech is not transcribed twice. The first time you sign in, a Signvrse tab asks Chrome for one-time microphone permission; you can decline, or allow it later from the extension popup, and only the meeting audio is captured until you do. - Streams that audio to Signvrse, where it is turned into text and signed by the avatar as the meeting happens. - In Google Meet, follows the microphone and speaker you picked in Meet, so capture uses the same devices. Only the device names are read, and they never leave your browser. - Shows capture status (ready / capturing / reconnecting / error) in the popup. What it does not do: - It does not record meetings. Audio is processed in real time for speech-to-text and is not saved as a recording. - It does not sell or share your audio, transcripts or account details, and does not use them for advertising or anything other than the interpretation you started. - It only captures while you have pressed Start capture, and stops when you press Stop capture, sign out, close the meeting tab, or the host ends interpretation. - It does not read the pages you visit. It runs only on Google Meet, Microsoft Teams on the web, and the Signvrse add-on. Supported meetings: Google Meet (meet.google.com) and Microsoft Teams on the web (teams.microsoft.com, teams.cloud.microsoft, teams.live.com).
