LLMnesia captures your conversations as you use them, builds a private search index inside your browser, and lets you search everything in one place. NEW: KEEP YOUR HISTORY SAFE WITH VAULT Vault is an optional paid add-on that keeps an encrypted backup of your AI conversation history and syncs it across your browsers and computers. Set it up from LLMnesia Settings with your email address and a private passphrase. Your conversation content is encrypted on your device before it is uploaded. Your passphrase and encryption key never reach LLMnesia, so we cannot read the conversations or memories stored in your Vault. Vault costs £8/month or £88/year, plus applicable tax. Payments are handled by Stripe; LLMnesia never receives your card details. The extension, local search and MCP connection remain free and require no account. If your subscription ends, conversations already stored on each device remain searchable. Remote Vault sync and restore pause until you renew; the encrypted backup is not deleted merely because the subscription ended. CONNECT YOUR HISTORY TO DESKTOP AI Use your existing chat history from Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other MCP-compatible tools. Ask questions across conversations from different AI platforms, retrieve the relevant context, and open linked sources back to the original chats. Setup is guided from LLMnesia Settings under “Connect desktop AI.” WHAT IT DOES - Search every message across all your AI chats at once, by keyword or meaning. Semantic search finds the right conversation even when you cannot remember the exact words. - Back up and sync your history with optional end-to-end encrypted Vault, then restore it on another browser or computer with your private passphrase. - Connect your history to desktop AI tools through MCP, so they can use what you already learned instead of starting every task from zero. - Automatically receive links to the original conversations behind MCP answers whenever source URLs are available. - See the exact AI model used for indexed replies whenever the provider reports it, including mixed-model conversations. - Highlight any passage and save it as a memory. Insert saved memories into a future chat in one keystroke. - Open the toolbar popup and search immediately, without first visiting an AI platform. Your recent conversations appear as soon as it opens. - Import existing history from supported platforms, including Kimi on both its international and Chinese services, or load an export file when a live import is unavailable or too slow. - Star conversations, bookmark results, and return to the exact point where a saved memory originated. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Local search remains the default. Your conversations are indexed on your device, no account is required for the free extension, and LLMnesia does not receive your conversation content when Vault is off. Search runs locally in your browser. Vault is optional and off until you set it up. If you enable it, encrypted conversation and memory payloads are stored on LLMnesia's Supabase backend. The service also receives the account information, record identifiers and sync metadata needed to authenticate you and keep your encrypted records in sync. Message text, conversation titles, URLs, previews and saved-memory text remain inside ciphertext that LLMnesia cannot decrypt. The MCP connector and search index also run locally. When you ask a connected desktop AI app to use your history, the relevant results are passed to that app on your computer. How the app subsequently processes those results is governed by that AI provider’s own terms and privacy policy. Your history is not locked inside whichever AI tool you happened to use that day, so changing models does not mean starting from zero.
