LLM Typing Trainer is a modern Chrome extension that helps you improve your touch typing with detailed analytics, customizable practice sessions, and optional integration with locally hosted AI models. All practice data is stored locally on your device, and the extension works without requiring an online account. Key Features Touch Typing Engine • Real-time WPM, CPM, accuracy, error highlighting, and peak speed tracking. • Pause and resume sessions with keyboard shortcuts. • Full-screen, distraction-free typing mode. • Customizable cursor styles, word wrapping, whitespace rendering, and typing modes (stop-on-error or forgiving). ASCII Normalization • Automatically maps accented characters (é → e, ñ → n, ß → ss, etc.) to standard keyboard equivalents. • Customizable character mappings for different languages or specialised typing exercises. Interactive Keyboard Heatmaps • Visual keyboard heatmaps showing key-by-key latency and error rates. • Supports QWERTY, Dvorak, and Colemak layouts. • MacBook, Desktop ANSI, and Desktop ISO keyboard visualisations. Local AI Integration Compatible with OpenAI-compatible local API servers such as Ollama, LM Studio, QwQ, and vϘLX.
