Half-listening to a meeting, a lecture, or a podcast while you work? PointWatcher keeps a running outline of the point being made right now, in a small floating window you can glance at to catch up after a moment of distraction. It's not a transcript and not a summary after the fact. It's a live outline that builds as people talk, with nested sub-points, and it revises itself as the argument develops. HOW IT WORKS Open a tab with audio or video, click the PointWatcher icon, and a small always-on-top window opens with a live outline. Keep working in other tabs and glance over when you want to reorient. WHAT YOU GET • Glance, don't read: a compact window that stays on top, with timestamps and quotable lines called out • Any audio, no transcript needed: it listens to the tab itself, so it works on meetings, livestreams, courses, and videos with no captions • Mark what matters: bookmark a moment (with an optional note) or save a screenshot of the slide • Background from the page: if the page has a title, description, or chapter list (like a YouTube video), PointWatcher uses it to spell names correctly and follow the structure • Take it with you: export notes as Markdown (a .zip when you've saved screenshots) and download the full timestamped transcript • Your history: sessions are saved to your PointWatcher dashboard, where you can review, export, or delete them FREE, BRING YOUR OWN KEYS PointWatcher has no subscription. You connect your own accounts and pay those providers directly at their rates: • An AI provider for the outline: Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google Gemini • Deepgram for speech-to-text (new Deepgram accounts start with trial credit, not a permanent free tier) Your keys are stored only in your browser and used to call those providers directly. We never see them. GOOD TO KNOW • You need a free PointWatcher account to start watching (it's what saves your sessions to the dashboard). • It needs a recent version of Chrome for the floating window. • The audio is sent to the speech-to-text provider you choose, and transcript text to the AI provider you choose. See the privacy policy for details. • Screenshots and bookmarks stay on your device. They are never uploaded to PointWatcher servers. • Screenshots of copy-protected (DRM) video may come out black. PRIVACY We don't run servers that see your audio, your keys, or your live transcript.
