Overview
Side-panel SEO check: noindex, canonical, CSR, headings, OGP, structured data, Web Vitals, keywords. No DevTools.
kunugi SEO Checker is a Chrome extension that lets you analyze the SEO status of the page you are browsing with a single click. No need to open DevTools. It lives in the side panel and automatically refreshes every time you navigate to a new page. Designed for SEO specialists, web directors, writers, site owners, and anyone else, regardless of technical background. Note: When installing, you will see a warning that the extension "modifies and permits access to features such as location, camera, and cookies." This is because the extension includes a JavaScript on/off toggle so you can quickly check whether a page contains client-side rendering, something that generative AI crawlers tend to struggle with. Everything runs locally; no data is transmitted, and no cookies or location data are collected. ----------- Main features [Panel Data] - Instantly see whether title and H1 tags are present and what they contain - Canonical URL settings - Detection of noindex / nofollow (both meta and per-link) - Detects and highlights elements likely rendered client-side (CSR) - Toggle JavaScript on/off to verify CSR impact - Highlights nofollow links on the page - HTTP status code display (beta) - Redirect chain history (301 -> 200 -> JS rewrite, etc.) (beta) - Cache clear & reload button (equivalent to Ctrl+F5) [Basics] - Character count bar for the title tag with recommended range - Meta description content and length - Meta keywords check - Canonical / hreflang validation with warnings - Counts for images, images without ALT, internal links, and external links - List and preview of OGP (Open Graph) tags - List and preview of X Card (formerly Twitter Card) tags - Copy image / link elements for Excel, or download as CSV [Headings] - H1 to H6 heading structure shown as a tree - Headings inside header / footer are identified and shown separately - Click a heading to scroll to and highlight it on the page - Warns when heading levels are skipped (e.g., H2 -> H4) [Structured Data] - Detects and displays JSON-LD, Microdata, and RDFa - Shows match results against Google-recommended schemas - Checks coverage of required and recommended properties [Core Web Vitals] - LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) - FID / INP (First Input Delay / Interaction to Next Paint) - CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) - Color-coded Good / Needs improvement / Poor for each metric - One-click link to PageSpeed Insights [Keyword Analysis] - Lists keywords on the page in order of frequency - My Dictionary: register keywords you care about and check whether they appear - Manage multiple keyword groups using dictionary tags - Separate counts for registered vs. unregistered keywords [Tools] - site: search (supports intitle: and text search modes) - Element inspector: click an element on the page to see its DOM hierarchy - Detect and highlight table tags - One-click access to external tools (PageSpeed Insights, Rich Results Test, Wayback Machine, robots.txt, sitemap.xml) - Responsive check (beta): switch browser width to preset values to preview phone and tablet layouts [Google Search Results] - Automatically shows organic rank numbers on Google search results pages (can be toggled in settings) ----------- Who it is for - Writers who want to verify SEO basics before publishing an article - Directors who need to quickly check the SEO status across multiple sites - SEO specialists who want to avoid noindex / canonical misconfigurations - Web staff who are not used to DevTools but still want to understand page structure - Marketers who want an easy way to inspect structured data and OGP settings ----------- Highlights - Lives in the side panel, does not get in the way of browsing - Auto-detects tab switches and page transitions, refreshing instantly - Tracks not only HTTP redirects but also URL rewrites via JavaScript (pushState, etc.) - No data is ever sent to external servers ----------- v4.0.0 release notes - HTTP status code display (beta): shows the HTTP response code for the page in the side panel - Redirect chain display (beta): shows the full chronological history of server-side (301/302, etc.) and client-side (JavaScript URL rewrites) transitions - Cache clear & reload button: perform a Ctrl+F5-equivalent operation with one click from the side panel - Toggle for showing Google search rank: turn the rank display on or off from settings - Improved canonical self-reference detection: URLs with query parameters are now classified correctly - Renamed Twitter Card to X Card
