Watch anything in a language you don't speak, and read it in one you do. Click the LiveLingo icon on a tab that is playing audio. A small panel appears on the page: pick the language you are listening to, pick the one you read, and press Start. Translated captions appear over the page a second or two behind the speaker and keep flowing as the person talks, not after they stop. It reads the tab's own audio, so it works on anything that plays in Chrome: a livestream, a recorded talk, a lecture, a webinar, a browser-based meeting, a podcast, a news broadcast. Nothing to install on the site's side, no captions required from the publisher, and no microphone involved. HOW IT READS Two lines, the way an interpreter works. On top, the original speech as it is heard. Below it, the translation in your language, large enough to read from across the desk. Numbers, names and amounts are picked out in gold, and a negation, the "not" that flips a sentence's meaning, is marked in red, because that is the one word you cannot afford to skim past. When more than one person speaks, each change of speaker is marked, so a panel discussion or a meeting reads as an exchange instead of a wall of text. Finished lines stay on screen while the next one builds, so you can catch up without scrubbing back.
