Watching the game live and hearing your neighbor celebrate the goal before you see it? LiveEdge keeps YouTube live streams as close to the stream's live edge as your connection allows. WHAT IT DOES • Auto resync — detects when the player falls behind the live edge (buffer drift) and brings you back, automatically. • Buffer optimizer — gently speeds up playback to move closer to the live edge, backing off automatically if your network can't sustain it. • Delay meter — a discreet indicator next to the "LIVE" button shows how many seconds behind live you are. Click it to jump straight to live (or press Alt+L). • Live status in the popup — open the extension icon and see it in real time: your current delay, the cushion your network can hold, and the safe catch-up speed — all measured and calibrated automatically, nothing to configure. • Time given back — LiveEdge counts how many seconds of the stream it has given back to you, per session and all time. ZERO CONFIGURATION It measures your network and tunes itself: it learns the lowest delay your connection can sustain without stalling the video, keeps that calibration for future sessions, and respects each stream's latency floor. Install it and forget it. 📺 WANT TO WATCH ON YOUR TV? Extensions can't run inside smart TV apps, but you can take LiveEdge to the big screen: • Connect your laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable — everything works, at full quality. • Or cast from Chrome: menu → Cast → "Cast tab". Important: use "Cast tab" (mirroring), not the cast button inside the YouTube player — that one hands playback over to the TV app, where extensions can't run. HONEST BY PRINCIPLE LiveEdge reduces the delay that builds up INSIDE your player. It does not remove the broadcaster's transmission delay (encoder/CDN), which exists before the video ever reaches your browser — no extension can do that. PRIVACY LiveEdge does not collect or transmit personal data. It uses no analytics or tracking. Preferences may sync through your browser account; the lifetime time-saved counter and network calibration remain in local browser storage.
