LiveEdge for YouTube
Overview
Less delay on YouTube live streams: auto-resync to the live edge, smart buffer optimization, and a live latency meter.
Watching a live match and hearing your neighbor celebrate the goal before you see it? LiveEdge keeps YouTube live streams as close to real time as your connection allows. WHAT IT DOES • Auto-resync — detects when the player falls behind the live edge (buffer drift) and jumps you back, automatically. • Buffer optimizer — gently speeds playback (1.05x, imperceptible) to trim the local buffer cushion, with automatic back-off if your network can't sustain it. No stutters. • Latency meter — a small gauge docked next to YouTube's LIVE badge shows how many seconds behind live you are, and how many seconds LiveEdge has saved you this session. Click it to jump to live instantly. HONEST BY DESIGN LiveEdge reduces the delay that accumulates inside YOUR player. It cannot remove the broadcaster's transmission delay (encoder/CDN), which exists before the stream reaches your browser — no extension can. PRIVACY Zero data collection. No analytics, no tracking, no external requests. Your settings stay in your own browser profile. See the bundled Terms & Privacy page. FREE Every feature is free for everyone. If LiveEdge makes your streams better, there's an optional donation page — it unlocks nothing, it's just appreciated. Not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
