LiteCopy is a copy and text selection extension for Chrome and Edge that restores copying on websites which block it. When a page refuses to let you select a sentence, disables the right-click menu or swallows Ctrl+C, one click on the toolbar brings normal browser behaviour back. No reload, no account, no ads and no tracking. What makes LiteCopy different is that it repairs the page instead of replacing it. There is no reader view and no proxy: the site keeps its layout, links and images, while text starts behaving like text again. Copying is unlimited and free, with no daily counter and no copy quota. The optional Premium tier adds one thing only — your list of unlocked sites follows your browser account to your other computers. WHAT CHANGES ON THE PAGE • Text selection works again, and the page's own typography and layout stay as they were. • The native right-click menu returns instead of the site's custom block. • Standard shortcuts work in normal fields; password fields and other sensitive inputs are left alone. • Invisible full-screen layers stop intercepting clicks, while real dialogs and menus keep working. • Content loaded after the page opens is handled as it appears, so long feeds and pages that load more as you scroll do not need a refresh. • Turning LiteCopy off restores the site's original behaviour; nothing is permanently changed. SITE RULES THAT FOLLOW YOU (PREMIUM) • Enable a site once and the rule is saved through your browser's own account sync. • On another computer signed into the same browser account, the site appears as a saved rule. • Site access cannot travel with the account, so click Enable once on the new computer to grant permission; the rule itself is already there. • A Sync now button in Settings pulls the latest list whenever you want it. • No LiteCopy account is involved, and the developer cannot read the list. FREE VS PREMIUM Free, permanently: unlimited copying, text selection, right-click, keyboard shortcuts, overlay repair, remembered sites, per-tab control, page-info copying and all six interface languages. There is no daily copy limit and no counter. Premium (optional licence): your unlocked-site list follows your browser account to your other computers. One licence key activates on two browsers, and removing the licence from one browser frees that slot again. HOW IT WORKS 1. Pin LiteCopy to your toolbar. 2. Open a page that blocks copying and click the icon. 3. Press Enable. Selection, right-click and shortcuts work immediately, without a reload. 4. Copy what you need. If you allowed access, the site is remembered and unlocks itself next time. 5. Press Disable to return the page to its original behaviour. PRIVACY FIRST • No account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. • Unlocking runs on your device. LiteCopy does not collect or transmit page content, and there is no reading history. • The only outbound request LiteCopy makes is the optional licence check for paid features. If you never activate a licence, no request is made. The check sends a random installation identifier and basic browser metadata, never page content. • Your site list stays local by default. With Premium it is mirrored to your browser's own account sync, which the developer cannot read; removing the licence stops the sync and your local rules keep working. • Access is requested only for the sites you enable; other pages are untouched. • Premium keeps working while you are offline. The licence is re-checked roughly every two hours, and a failed check never locks you out. BUILT FOR DESKTOP • Desktop Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Other Chromium-based browsers generally work. • Browser-restricted pages such as chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be modified. • Intended for personal reading, study and research.
