LisaVault fills your passwords, generates strong new ones, and keeps your two-factor codes — all encrypted on your own device before anything is sent anywhere. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • A Recovery Kit. Most zero-knowledge password managers have one answer if you forget your master password: your vault is gone. LisaVault gives you a one-time recovery code at signup, printed or written down, that can open your vault without us ever holding a key to it. • Less about you on our servers. Each item is stored as a single encrypted blob, not field-by-field, so our servers cannot see what your logins are called, what your usernames are, or which websites you use. We publish exactly what we can see, on our security page. • The useful things are free. The built-in authenticator, vault health reports, breach checking, encrypted import and export, and unlimited items are all in the free tier. Several of those are paid features elsewhere. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES • Fills usernames, passwords and one-time codes into sign-in forms • Suggests a strong password when you are signing up, and fills the confirm box too • Offers to save a login after you sign in somewhere new, and to update one that has changed • Opens your cards, secure notes and identities, with the sensitive parts kept hidden until you ask for them • Generates passwords or passphrases, with a strength you control • Shows your authenticator codes without a separate app • Locks itself after a period of inactivity, and always when you close the browser • Works offline: unlocking your vault needs no connection, only your master password PRIVACY, PLAINLY • Your master password never leaves your device. We could not read your vault if we wanted to. • The extension does not request permission to read your browsing history or your open tabs. It learns a page's address only for the page it is actively working in. • We do not fetch website icons from an icon server, because doing so would tell that server every website in your vault. • No analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts.
