Save the current tab to your LinkWell vault in one click.

LinkWell saves the page you are reading into your own LinkWell vault, and your phone has it before you have closed the tab. Click the toolbar button — or press Alt+Shift+S, MacCtrl+Shift+S on a Mac — and LinkWell takes the address, the title, the description and the preview image of the tab you are on. Nothing else. It does not read pages in the background, it does not follow you around the web, and it has no sign-in of its own. SAVE WITHOUT LEAVING THE PAGE Right-click any link and choose Save link to LinkWell, and it goes to your vault without you opening it. LinkWell does not load that page to do this — it takes the address and the words of the link you clicked, and your phone fills in the rest. Right-click the page you are on to file that instead. ADD A NOTE WHILE IT IS STILL IN YOUR HEAD There is a note box next to the Save button. Why you kept it, what to do with it, the line you want to find again — it lands in the same My notes field the app shows, and it is searchable from your phone straight away. HOW PAIRING WORKS The extension never asks for a password. Open LinkWell on your phone and either type the eight-character code the extension shows you, or scan its QR code with the app and approve it there. The browser gets a random key, good for 90 days and renewed as you use it. Remove that browser in the app and the key stops working straight away. WHAT YOU NEED The LinkWell app on your phone, on a Monthly or Yearly plan. Saving from a browser means the link has to travel to your vault in the cloud, and the free tier and the one-off Lifetime purchase both run entirely on the phone, so there is nothing there for a browser to reach. WHAT IT READS Only the page you asked it to save, and only at the moment you ask. The permissions are the smallest set that does the job: activeTab and scripting to read that one page's title and preview image when you click, contextMenus for the right-click entry, and storage to keep the pairing key so you are not pairing the browser every time. It asks for no permanent access to any website. PRIVACY LinkWell cannot see your browsing history. It holds no permission that would let it, so there is nothing to trust us about — a browser simply will not give it that. What it saves is the page you chose, when you chose it. In your browser it stores exactly one thing: the pairing key. No password, no Google or Apple login, no analytics, no ads, and nothing sold to anyone.
