LinkRescue — Recover Broken Links, Archive Web Pages & Track Changes LinkRescue is a browser extension that helps you recover broken links, archive web pages, and track changes to online content. It protects you from missing pages, deleted articles, and silently updated websites — so important links never lose their context. What LinkRescue Does 🔗 Detects fragile and at-risk web pages LinkRescue identifies pages that are likely to change, move, or disappear over time — including news articles, blog posts, documentation, policy pages, and research content. Pages are marked **At Risk** when they may not be reliably accessible in the future or **have not yet been archived in a web archive**. A non-blocking popup alerts you when a page may be worth preserving, without interrupting your browsing. 📦 Highlights pages that haven’t been archived yet LinkRescue checks whether a page already has a preserved copy available in a web archive. If no archive is found, the page is clearly marked **At Risk**, helping you identify content that could be lost if it disappears or changes later. This makes it easy to decide **what** to archive — and **when**. 🗄️ Archive web pages before they disappear With one click, LinkRescue opens a trusted web archive service (such as the Wayback Machine) in a new tab so you can save a permanent snapshot of the page. - No automatic archiving - No background captures - You stay in full control 🚑 Recover broken, deleted, or removed pages If you land on a broken link (404 error), deleted page, or removed article, LinkRescue automatically looks for cached and archived versions and presents them instantly. Instead of a dead end, you can continue reading preserved copies from web archives and cached pages. 🔄 Track website and page changes over time If you’ve previously visited or archived a page, LinkRescue can detect meaningful changes to the content — including updates to titles, structure, or text. Changed pages are clearly highlighted, helping you spot: - Rewritten articles - Updated documentation - Modified policy or reference pages This ensures the information you rely on stays accurate and trustworthy. 🏦 Keep a permanent Link Vault LinkRescue maintains a personal **Link Vault** — a centralized record of pages you’ve interacted with.
