Overview

Shorten the current page or turn text into a one-time secret link, right from the toolbar. No tracking, no host access.

Short links and one-time secrets from your toolbar. LinkPilot is a URL shortener extension and a secret link extension in one. Shorten the page you are on, or turn a password, token, or note into a one-time secret link that self-destructs after it is opened. Shorten this page - One click on the toolbar icon shortens the current page to a shrd.link URL. - Right-click any link and choose "Shorten with LinkPilot". - Optional custom slug; Pro accounts can use their own domain. - The short link is copied to your clipboard immediately. Send as secret link - Paste text into the popup, or select text on any page and choose "Send as secret link". - The recipient opens it once; then it is gone. One-time secret sharing without email trails or chat history. - Pro accounts can add a passphrase and choose the expiry window. Encrypted before it leaves your browser - Secrets are encrypted with AES-GCM-256 in the extension. LinkPilot receives ciphertext and never the plaintext. - The decryption key travels in the link's `#` fragment, which browsers do not send to servers. We store a blob we hold no key for and cannot read. - That also means there is no recovery. Lose the link and the secret is gone, including to us. That is the guarantee working, not a gap. Built to stay out of your way - No account needed. Signed-out use runs through a quick human check on uselinkpilot.com. - No tracking inside the extension. No browsing history collection. - Reads the current tab URL and selected text only when you ask it to. - Permissions: activeTab, contextMenus, storage, clipboardWrite. No host permissions, no content scripts. Sign in for more Connect a LinkPilot API key in Settings to create links on your account, see analytics on uselinkpilot.com, and unlock Pro features (custom domains, passphrase-protected secrets, longer expiry). Pro is $29/month.
