Overview

Find your bookmarks again: AI describes and tags every save, and they show up in your Google search results.

Find your bookmarks again. LinkMartin is a bookmark manager for Chrome that makes your saved pages findable again. Save any page in one click, and the AI writes a description, adds tags and files it into a category — so you can find a bookmark by what it was about, not only by the title it happened to have. Your saved pages also turn up beside your Google search results, at the moment you are already looking for them. WHERE THINGS LIVE LinkMartin keeps its own library, separate from Chrome's bookmarks. Saving with LinkMartin puts the page in that library — it does not create a Chrome bookmark, and it does not touch the bookmarks and folders you already have. Chrome's own Ctrl+D still makes an ordinary Chrome bookmark, exactly as before. You can bring your existing Chrome bookmarks in whenever you like: importing copies them into the LinkMartin library and leaves the originals where they are. HOW IT WORKS 1. Save to LinkMartin — click the LinkMartin button in the Chrome toolbar, or press Ctrl+Shift+S. Highlight several tabs and save them together with Alt+Shift+S. The page goes into your LinkMartin library, not into Chrome's bookmarks. 2. Organise inside LinkMartin — the AI writes a description, adds tags, and files the page into one of your LinkMartin categories. These are not Chrome bookmark folders: they are names you choose, and the AI reads the name to decide what belongs there, so a clear name sorts better than "Stuff". 3. Find — open LinkMartin in Chrome's side panel and search your library there, or type "bm" then Tab in the address bar to search from anywhere and jump straight to a saved page. Open a bookmark and LinkMartin shows others on a related subject. Your saved pages also appear beside your results on Google. WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE - Saving is unlimited, always. - Search is free — across titles, descriptions, tags and URLs. - One-click import of the Chrome bookmarks you already have. - Export is always free. - The first save works before you create an account, with no API key, and with no second app to install. - Five categories on the free plan, including the ones we set up for you. AI CREDITS Describing and tagging a page uses one credit, and the free plan includes a monthly allowance. Regenerating a page uses another credit. Running out never blocks saving — pages still save, they simply arrive without a description until your allowance refreshes. ON THE PRO PLAN Pro removes the credit allowance and the five-category cap, and adds three things: - Custom AI instructions — your own rules for what the AI should pick: which tags, which category, what the description covers. Applied on every save. - Your own AI key — plug in your own provider and model, and your provider's model writes the descriptions and tags. - Use LinkMartin inside Claude — ask Claude what you saved on a subject and it searches your library. Ask it to keep a page and it saves one, with a description, tags, and one of your categories already filled in. This works through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Worth knowing before you install: - Search matches words. It looks at the title, the URL, and the description and tags the AI wrote — not the full text of the page, and not the meaning of your query. Semantic search is on the roadmap, not in this version. - The thumbnail is a picture of the page, not an archived copy. If a page goes offline, the thumbnail stays; the page does not. - Chrome only, for now. PRIVACY Your library lives in your browser. To show your saved pages next to Google's results, LinkMartin reads Google's search pages — the matching happens in your browser, and what you type into Google is not sent anywhere. Turning the AI on sends page content to our AI provider so it can be described and tagged. On the Pro plan you can bring your own key, and page content goes to your own AI provider instead of ours. Named after the house martin — the swallow that nests under the eaves of your house and returns to the same nest every year.
