LinkMartin – AI Bookmark Manager & Search
Overview
Find your bookmarks again: AI describes and tags every save, and they show up in your Google search results.
Find your bookmarks again. LinkMartin is a bookmark manager for Chrome that makes your saved pages findable again, even in Google search results. Save any page, and the AI writes a description, adds tags and files it into a category — so you can find a bookmark by what it was about, not only by the title it happened to have. HOW IT WORKS 1. Save — open LinkMartin from the Chrome toolbar and click Save this page, or right-click the page and choose Save page to LinkMartin. 2. Organise — the AI writes a description, adds tags and files the page into one of your categories. 3. Find — open LinkMartin in Chrome's side panel and search your library. 4. See them in Google results — search on Google, and matching pages from your library appear above the first result. WHAT YOU GET FOR FREE - Unlimited saving, search, export, and one-click import of the Chrome bookmarks you already have — no account needed. - AI descriptions, tags and categories — with a free account. AI credits renew every 30 days; if they run out, pages still save, just without a description. - Five categories, including the ones we set up for you. - Search your library from Claude and ChatGPT — ask what you saved on a subject and the assistant finds it. Works through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), with a free account. ON THE PRO PLAN Pro removes the credit allowance and the five-category cap, and adds three things: - Custom AI instructions — your own rules for what the AI should pick: which tags, which category, what the description covers. Applied on every save. - Your own AI key — plug in your own provider and model, and your provider's model writes the descriptions and tags. - Save from your AI assistant — ask it to keep a page and it saves one, with a description, tags, and one of your categories already filled in. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Worth knowing before you install: - Search matches words. It looks at the title, the URL, and the description and tags the AI wrote — not the full text of the page, and not the meaning of your query. Semantic search is on the roadmap, not in this version. - The thumbnail is a picture of the page, not an archived copy. If a page goes offline, the thumbnail stays; the page does not. - It does not touch Chrome's own bookmarks. LinkMartin keeps its own library: saving does not create a Chrome bookmark, and importing copies your Chrome bookmarks in and leaves the originals where they are. - Desktop only — mobile browsers cannot run extensions. PRIVACY Your library lives in your browser. To show your saved pages next to Google's results, LinkMartin reads Google's search pages — the matching happens in your browser, and what you type into Google is not sent anywhere. Turning the AI on sends page content to our AI provider so it can be described and tagged. On the Pro plan you can bring your own key, and page content goes to your own AI provider instead of ours.
