Overview

Save the page you're on to a local read-later list with a note. Read it later, or export to Markdown. Local, private, no account.

Save it for later — without handing it to a cloud. LinkLater saves the page you're reading to a local read-later list you can note, tag, and come back to — so you can close the tab without losing the thread. One click (or a right-click), a note on why it mattered, and it's on your list. Local, private, and yours. LinkLater saves the link and your note (plus the page's one-line description) — not a copy of the page. Opening a save loads the live page in a new tab. It's a read-later queue you own, not an offline article reader. Everything stays on your device. No account, no cloud, no sync, no ads, no tracking. WHAT IT DOES • Save a page — hit "+ Save this page" in the side panel, or right-click any page and choose "Save to LinkLater". The title, host, and a short page description are captured automatically. • Note & tag — expand a save to add a note ("the pricing pattern we want") and tags. Notes auto-save as you type; tags roll up into a bar you can click to filter. • Find it fast — filter by All / Unread / Read, search across titles, notes, and hosts, and mark things read as you work through the pile. • Export to Markdown — download your whole list as one .md file (titles, links, notes, tags) for Obsidian, Notion, or plain backup. • Delete a save when you're done, or clear the whole list (two-tap confirm, no scary dialogs). WHY IT'S DIFFERENT Pocket and Instapaper lock your saved articles in a cloud account with weak export and a subscription. LinkLater keeps your list local, free, and exportable — a read-later queue you actually own. (Its sibling, Tab Stasher, parks a whole window of tabs as a snapshot; LinkLater saves one page at a time to a persistent reading queue. Different unit, same local-first thesis.) PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your list lives only in this browser (chrome.storage.local). LinkLater has no server and sends nothing anywhere. It reads a page's short description once, at the moment you save it, so each card shows a useful summary — that's the only page access it uses, and it happens locally. FREE — AND STAYS FREE Every feature is unlocked: unlimited saves, notes, tags, search, export. No paywall. If it earns a spot in your workflow, you can leave a tip ("Fuel the Build") — totally optional, and the app is identical either way. Built by 864zeros — local-first, privacy-first Chrome tools.
