LinkedIn Spam Blocker
Overview
Blocks LinkedIn engagement-bait spam that asks you to "Comment X and I will send..."
LinkedIn's feed is full of engagement-bait posts: "Comment CLAUDE and I'll send you the template", "Reply PROMPTS for the PDF", "Type SKILL and I'll DM you the checklist", and so on. LinkedIn Spam Blocker automatically hides those posts from your own browser, so your feed stays focused on real professional content instead of comment-farming. Why this exists LinkedIn's reporting flow often leaves engagement-bait spam untouched, while reach-based incentives reward posts that generate empty comments. This extension gives you a local, private way to clean up your own feed without waiting for platform enforcement. How it works The extension scans supported LinkedIn pages for common engagement-bait patterns. When a post matches, it is hidden and replaced with a small placeholder. You can restore any post with "Show" or mark it as "Not spam" if it was incorrectly blocked. Everything happens locally in your browser. No analytics. No telemetry. No external APIs. No remote blocklists. No network requests. No LinkedIn account data collection. Features - Automatic detection of common "comment X and I'll send Y" spam patterns - Built-in patterns for English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and German - Custom phrases with Exact or Contains matching - Right-click selected text to add it as a custom blocking phrase - Import and export custom phrase lists as JSON - 30-minute snooze without fully disabling the extension - Popup stats for today, this week, and lifetime blocked posts - Undo controls for recently blocked posts - "Not spam" false-positive handling - Author whitelist for selected profiles, companies, schools, and showcase pages - Works on supported LinkedIn feed, profile, post, company, group, search, My Network, notification, jobs, newsletter, and article pages What it does not do - Does not report posts to LinkedIn - Does not remove posts for anyone else - Does not block accounts globally - Does not use AI or external APIs - Does not collect analytics or telemetry - Does not read or store your LinkedIn account data - Does not modify LinkedIn server-side data How to use 1. Install the extension. 2. Open LinkedIn and scroll normally. 3. Matching engagement-bait posts are hidden automatically. 4. Click the extension icon to view stats, snooze, toggle blocking, or open settings. 5. Use "Show" or "Not spam" if a post is incorrectly blocked. 6. Add custom phrases from settings or by selecting text and using the right-click menu. Privacy LinkedIn Spam Blocker is designed to be local-first and privacy-friendly. It stores only extension settings and user-created preferences in browser storage, such as custom phrases, enabled languages, snooze state, block counts, whitelist entries, and false-positive signatures. The extension makes zero network requests and does not transmit browsing data, LinkedIn content, or personal information anywhere.
