Overview
Detects an open LinkedIn job, reads the description, and tailors your base resume (LaTeX) to it using your own instructions.
LinkedIn Resume Tailor detects any open LinkedIn job posting — inline, promoted, or external — reads the full job description via LinkedIn's own API, and tailors your base resume to it using your own LLM. ✦ YOUR DATA STAYS LOCAL Your API key lives in chrome.storage.local. No analytics, no backend. The only network request is to the LLM endpoint you configure. ✦ LATEX-NATIVE PIPELINE Your base resume is LaTeX. The tailored output is LaTeX — same preamble, same packages, same formatting. No markdown conversion. ✦ BRING YOUR OWN LLM Works with any OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions endpoint: OpenAI, OpenRouter, Blackbox, or your own. Configurable model, endpoint, and API key. ✦ LIVE PDF PREVIEW The Rendered tab compiles your LaTeX in the cloud (via xelatex) and shows the PDF inline. Download as .tex or compiled PDF. ✦ STREAMING GENERATION Tokens stream into the editor in real-time so you see your resume taking shape. ✦ SMART JOB DETECTION Primary: LinkedIn's voyager API (same one the UI uses). Fallback: DOM-based extraction with "About the job" anchor and heuristic text detection. Works with Easy Apply and "Apply on company website" listings. ✦ FULL EDITOR - Edit the tailored LaTeX directly - Syntax-highlighted LaTeX view - Copy / download .tex / download compiled PDF - Generation history (last 10) ✦ CUSTOMIZABLE - Editable base resume (LaTeX) - Editable tailoring instructions - Test Connection button to verify your LLM setup
