Turn your bookmarks into an elegant dashboard for quick access.

Visualize your links in a more accessible way. Useful for organizing frequently accessed websites or web GUIs. 🔗 Using it 🔗 Sections mirror your bookmark folder structure — each folder becomes a card, subfolders become collapsible groups inside it. Any bookmarks that weren't in a folder are grouped into one Miscellaneous section instead of cluttering the dashboard with one-link cards. - Click a section or subfolder heading to collapse/expand it. - Click a link — it opens in a new tab, using your browser's normal new-tab behavior (middle-click, Ctrl/Cmd-click, etc. all work as expected). - Drag to reorder or move links between sections — only while in Edit mode (see below). - Filter links — type into the search box next to the LinkDash menu to instantly hide any link that doesn't match, temporarily opening any collapsed section or subfolder that contains a match. It's a display-only filter: nothing about your layout changes, and clearing the box restores everything exactly as you left it. - The clock in the top bar shows the current time; hover over it for the full date. 🔗 The menu 🔗 Click the LinkDash name/icon in the top-left of the dashboard to open the menu — no toolbar popup needed: New - Opens the bookmark picker to build (or rebuild) the dashboard, in the same tab. Edit Switches the dashboard into edit mode. Save - Commits any pending changes. Import - Loads a previously exported LinkDash .html file into a new tab, so it never overwrites the dashboard you already have open. Export - Downloads your dashboard as a single, self-contained .html file, named linkdash-<your-title>-<date>.html. Delete - Clears your dashboard (export first if you want a backup). A Hide menu bar checkbox sits at the top of the menu. Turn it on and the top bar tucks itself away, letting sections shift up to fill the space — hover near the very top edge of the window to pop it back down whenever you need the menu, theme, or accent color controls. Accent color, plus Light / Dark / Auto theme controls, stay in the top-right of the dashboard itself, separate from the menu. Accent color sets the color used for section and subfolder outlines/glows and chevrons — choose Default (the signature blue-to-teal fade), Multicolor (each section cycles through the palette), None (flat, no glow), or one of six named colors (Amber, Teal, Mauve, Steel Blue, Rust, Olive). Picking one of those six also tints the active theme button and the LinkDash logo in the menu to match; Multicolor and None leave both of those at the default look, since neither has a single color to hand them. New dashboards always start on Default; the choice is per-dashboard, saved with your layout, and carried through Export/Import. 🔗 Editing your dashboard 🔗 Click Edit in the menu to switch into edit mode: - The title at the top becomes editable — click it and type a new name. - Every link and folder gets a small × to remove it. - Drag section headers to reorder sections, and drag links to reorder them within a section or drop them into a different section or subfolder entirely. - Each section gets an + Add link control (title + URL), and an + Add section control that appears at the end for creating a new one. - Click Done in the banner (or Save from the menu) to persist your changes. Outside edit mode, the dashboard is read-only and drag-free — nothing moves by accident. 🔗 Multiple dashboards 🔗 The toolbar icon always opens (or refocuses) one canonical dashboard tab, so it never spawns duplicates on its own. But you're not limited to just that one: Import opens the imported file in a brand-new tab of its own, leaving whatever you already had open completely untouched — each dashboard tab keeps its own separate, independent data. Editing, saving, or deleting in one tab never affects another. 🔗 Notes on the export format 🔗 Exports are plain HTML with embedded <style>/<script> — no external dependencies, so the file is portable and safe to store, email, or drop in another Chrome profile. A hidden JSON data block preserves your full folder structure so Import is lossless. 🔗 Permissions used 🔗 bookmarks — read your bookmark tree during setup. storage — save your dashboard layout and theme locally (nothing leaves your machine). downloads — save the file when you click Export. favicon — show each site's icon using Chrome's built-in favicon cache (no external requests). 🔗 Privacy 🔗 LinkDash doesn't collect, transmit, or sell any of your data — everything stays on your device.
