It requests no access to any website in advance, so it cannot read pages in the background. It has no content scripts and makes no network requests of its own. On first install it opens its guide page on wiserwork.org once, so you know how to use it; that page is an ordinary web page and the site privacy policy covers it. PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED - activeTab - reads the URL of the tab you are on when you click the button, so it knows which video you mean. Granted on that click, for that tab, and it lapses when you leave. No access to any website is requested in advance. GOOD TO KNOW Thumbnails are published by YouTube at fixed sizes; the extension does not upscale or re-encode them. Not every video has a 1280x720 version - older and lower-quality uploads may only have the smaller sizes, and the tool shows you which ones exist.
