Check every link on a website, straight from your own browser. Link Checker Online finds broken links, redirects, timeouts and "suspicious OK" pages across a whole site, with every request made from your own browser and connection. It is the official Chrome extension for linkcheckeronline.com, made for SEOs, webmasters and content teams. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension. 2. Open linkcheckeronline.com in Chrome on your computer. The site detects the extension automatically. 3. Enter the address of the website you want to check and start the crawl. You can also click the extension's toolbar icon on any page to open linkcheckeronline.com with that page's address already filled in. The extension does nothing on its own: it only works together with linkcheckeronline.com and only acts on checks you start there. WHAT YOU GET • Broken links, redirects, timeouts and "suspicious OK" pages (pages that answer 200 but look like a soft 404), classified as links are checked. • Large sites: crawls of up to 50,000 links. • Internal and external links, images and other resources, and optionally subdomains. • Respects the robots.txt of the host where the crawl starts by default. It is applied to that exact host only: the robots.txt of other hosts, such as subdomains or external websites, is not consulted. • Options to follow redirects, ignore URL parameters and exclude URL patterns. • Live results with filters and search, and the page where each broken link was found. • Export of results to Excel, CSV or JSON. • Available in English and Spanish. RESPECTFUL BY DESIGN • At most 5 simultaneous requests per host, shared across all browser tabs. • An identifiable User-Agent by default (LinkCheckerOnline/1.0, with a link to a public information page at linkcheckeronline.com/bot). You can switch to your browser's own User-Agent or a custom one. • A short random pause between requests, and automatic detection when a site starts blocking the crawl. • Automatic crawling only ever sends GET requests. YOUR PRIVACY • No account, no sign-up, no analytics or tracking inside the extension. • The links and pages being checked are handled only in your browser's memory while the check runs. The extension does not store them. • Check requests go directly from your browser to the sites you check. They are not sent to our servers or to anyone else. • One exception, started by you: when you click the toolbar icon, the address of the current tab is added to the address of linkcheckeronline.com that opens, so the start URL is pre-filled. It uses this access only to make its own link-check requests; it does not read, change or inject anything into the pages you browse.
