Linio Spotlight is a developer utility designed to capture scroll-through videos of websites for portfolios, client demonstrations, and social sharing. When you scroll a webpage manually using a mouse or trackpad, the resulting video is often laggy, stutters, or stalls due to frame drops and erratic mouse inputs. This extension replaces manual scroll actions with a custom linear rendering loop driven by requestAnimationFrame, ensuring a perfectly fluid scroll from top to bottom. Key Features: - Fully programmatic scrolling at configurable speeds (50 to 1000 pixels per second). - Pre-scroll warm-up to pre-load lazy assets and trigger entrance animations before recording starts. - Clean video mode that automatically hides browser scrollbars during capture. - Element filter that temporarily hides floating chat launchers, cookie consent banners, and popups. - Option to completely hide the mouse pointer during the recording session. - High-fidelity MediaRecorder capturing tab audio and video at a constant 8 Mbps. - Automatic local download of captured recordings in WebM format. How to Use: 1. Open the website you wish to capture in a Chrome tab. 2. Click the Linio Spotlight icon in your toolbar. 3. Choose your scroll speed and toggle features (e.g., Warm-up Scroll, Clean Video Mode). 4. Click "Start Capture". 5. The extension will automatically perform the warm-up, begin recording, and scroll the page to the bottom. 6. Once it reaches the bottom, the recording halts and your video file downloads automatically. Or, you can click "Stop Capture" at any time. Privacy & Permissions: This extension captures tab video and audio locally in your browser. All recordings are compiled on-device and downloaded directly. No data is collected, stored, or sent off-device.
