IT administrators can preconfigure providers and Microsoft 365 tenant settings via managed browser policy (chrome.storage.managed). IMPROVEMENT PRESETS, CUSTOM TEMPLATES & CHANGE HIGHLIGHTS Choose from six improvement presets — Spelling only, Spelling & grammar, Improve writing, Business tone, Make shorter, and Translate — or create your own custom templates in Settings. Optionally enable “Remember last selected mode in the dialog” so your preferred working mode carries over automatically to the next selection, or keep a fixed default mode. Switch presets directly on the result screen, inspect word-level change highlights inside a framed result card with a hover Copy button and removed-text tooltips, and Copy or Accept clean text without diff markup. CONNECT MICROSOFT 365 COPILOT, CHATGPT, OPENROUTER OR YOUR OWN API • Microsoft 365 Copilot (work/school): sign in with your Entra ID work or school account and use eligible Copilot access in temporary chat mode. • ChatGPT plan (experimental): connect your eligible ChatGPT account to use plan access, or see clear guidance if plan access is unavailable for your account or workspace. • OpenRouter: connect through browser sign-in and use the “Free models only” filter to browse models with zero catalog input/output pricing, or select paid models. • OpenAI & Custom (OpenAI-compatible): use your own OpenAI API key or a custom / self-hosted OpenAI-compatible endpoint. GET STARTED 1. Open LinguAIst Settings and choose Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT, OpenRouter, OpenAI, or a custom provider. 2. Sign in or enter your API credentials, then choose a model. For OpenRouter, enable “Free models only” to browse free options. 3. Choose your translation language. Settings save automatically. 4. Select text on a webpage, or select text in an editable field to improve your writing. LICENSING, PRIVACY AND PROVIDER COSTS LinguAIst is free for personal use with your own AI account. Using LinguAIst for work or in an organization requires a commercial license — contact sales at https://linguaist.app/contacts/#sales or learn more at https://linguaist.app/enterprise/ and https://linguaist.app/#pricing. Text is sent directly from the extension to your selected AI provider. OpenRouter may forward requests to a downstream model provider. LinguAIst does not run an intermediary backend that receives your submitted page content. Writing-improvement requests may include limited surrounding content when page context is enabled. Translation uses the selected text. Handle personal and confidential information carefully; provider retention and training policies apply. Provider charges, account eligibility, usage limits, and availability still apply. API-key providers may receive a small connection warmup that can consume quota or incur charges. Website access is needed to translate selected text and improve writing wherever you work. Credentials are stored locally in trusted extension storage. Disconnect removes the local credentials; manage external authorizations in the provider's own settings. Editable-field compatibility varies by website. Short-text Accept and sent-content checks passed in Outlook Web, Teams, Gmail and WhatsApp Web; formatting, attachments, mentions and all Undo scenarios are not guaranteed. Browser-protected pages and editors that prevent extension interaction may be unavailable.
