Learn languages on Netflix - pause to see additional subtitles in your chosen language
Why I built LinguaFlix? I was learning English by watching Netflix with English subtitles, but whenever I didn't understand something, I had to pause, open a translator, type the phrase, and go back - it completely broke the flow. I just wanted to pause and instantly see the subtitle in my native language. The existing extensions didn't solve this either - some shrank the video to fit extra subtitle layers, others required extra clicks to see a translation, and others were unreliable. So I built LinguaFlix: pause to see the subtitle in your language, play to continue. That's it. How it works: 1. Pick your native language in Settings 2. Play any Netflix title with foreign-language subtitles enabled 3. Pause — see the subtitle in your language overlaid on the video 4. Play — the overlay disappears Features: - Instant subtitle overlay on pause - Full-screen support — the overlay follows seamlessly - Closed Captions (CC) support - 100% private — no data leaves your browser - Lightweight — no tracking, no accounts, no bloat Note: LinguaFlix shows subtitle tracks that Netflix already provides. If Netflix doesn't offer subtitles in your chosen language for a specific title, there's nothing to display. Questions or feedback? Visit https://github.com/msl0/LinguaFlix/issues/new/choose
