Lingopie - Language Learning with Netflix and Disney+

A fun way to learn a language. I love this app. I am learning German and it has helped me a lot.

I'm on a 7-day free trial and a Lifetime Membership is just around the corner in a few days but the Lingopie extension for Netflix doesn't work for me. In fact if a disable the "allow automatic access to the following sites" with regard to Netflix in the extension control panel I'm able to log in, but without Lingopie integration. The glossary is fairly quick and accurate, but it is AI and it sometimes misinterprets things because it only responds to the sentence selected, and can't respond based on the context, which can totally change the translation. I do love using the extension though, it's such an easy way to immerse myself into German. It has also worked with every single German show I have tried to watch.

I love this app. truly and completely. I only wish I could watch the show in normal sped and not slow so I can read the subtitles

Great way to practice what I'm learning in class. I like that you can make flashcards. Also learning vocab that you wouldn't normally run across in a normal class. The content is fine for me now, but I can see how a more advanced person who watches faster than I do might find it limited. Also like that you can select the playback speed to fit your level. Would def recommend to a friend.

I like how easy it is to stop and listen again to parts you have missed and scroll back through the dialog. I also enjoy the quiz at the end of the programs built from the words you choose. It's working quite well with Portuguese although I would like to see more content from Portugal (as opposed to Brazil) but I understand that Brazilian Portuguese is dominant due to the greater population... love lingopie- it has made learning a language so enjoyable. I do wish they come with more content, but that content that is there has been super helpful.
