Practise English listening with the YouTube videos you choose. Lingo Practice turns subtitles into missing-word exercises. Listen to a line, type what you hear, and press Enter to check your answer. Replay the parts you missed, use a hint when you get stuck, and practise difficult lines again. Practise at your own pace • Create exercises from YouTube captions, its transcript panel, or your own SRT/VTT subtitle files. • Replay a single line instead of searching through the video. Enable auto-pause to give yourself time to answer. • Get help in stages: see the first letter, listen at a slower speed, then reveal the answer if needed. • Review mistakes and repeat difficult parts while keeping your original lesson result. • Adjust difficulty, subtitle timing, video size, and text size. Pick up where you left off Your lessons and progress are saved in your browser. Return to a video, review difficult words in your lesson library, or export your word list as CSV. Back up and restore your lessons with JSON files. The interface is available in English and Russian. Start with a video you want to understand 1. Open a regular YouTube video and click the Lingo Practice extension icon. 2. Keep the video tab open and place the separate practice window beside it. 3. Choose a subtitle source or import an SRT/VTT file. 4. Listen, fill in the missing words, and check your answers. No account, subscription, or API key is required. Your lesson data stays in your browser profile and is not sent to the developer. Designed primarily for English listening practice. YouTube Shorts and live streams are not supported. Caption availability and accuracy depend on YouTube and the video.
