Overview
Turn YouTube subtitles into interactive gap-fill listening practice.
🎵 Enjoy listening practice with your favourite videos 🎬 Works with YouTube videos that have subtitles 🔄 Replay difficult phrases until you catch every word 🚫 Practise for free, with no ads inside the extension 🦊 An alternative to LingQ or Language Reactor, Yabla, LingoClip, built right into YouTube Lingo Gapfy is a Chrome extension that turns YouTube subtitles into active listening practice. Subtitles can make videos easier to follow, but they do not always help train your ear. With Lingo Gapfy, each subtitle line becomes a short gap-fill exercise: listen carefully, type in the missing words, and replay difficult phrases until they finally click. It is a simple way to spend less time reading and more time genuinely listening, without ever leaving YouTube. To start practising, open a YouTube video, click the Lingo Gapfy fox icon 🦊 in your browser toolbar, and start the exercise.
