Overview
Capture webpages and UI elements as editable Figma layers. Copy and paste into Figma. No LilLabr account required.
Start your next redesign from the website you already have. LilLabr brings supported webpage content into Figma as editable layers, giving you an existing interface to work from instead of a blank canvas. Explore a redesign, collect useful UI references, or compare a live interface with your design. CHOOSE WHAT TO CAPTURE • Screen: bring the currently mounted page state across in a clipped Figma frame. • Full page: prepare the loaded document and eligible inner scrollers; with a modal open, capture the whole modal. Preparation is bounded, and virtualized content may only exist while visible. • Pick element: hover and select a detail with LilLabr’s on-page lilac corners and keyboard controls. MOVE INTO FIGMA Capture in Chrome, then paste into Figma. You can also save a .labr file and open it with the companion LilLabr Figma plugin. The local clipboard and file workflows do not require a LilLabr account. To keep a capture out of LilLabr’s sync service, turn Cloud sync Off in Settings before you capture. Figma, saved-file sharing and clipboard history or sync have their own data handling. KNOW THE LIMITS Supported text, images, vectors, fills and layout become editable; complex pages may need cleanup. Missing fonts, blocked resources and inaccessible embedded content can affect the result. HTML-to-Figma work starts from the rendered webpage in Chrome. THE PURPLE RAIL Click the toolbar icon to show the rail. Choose capture opens Screen, Full page and Pick element. Latest capture shows the actual device-ready archive with Save .labr and Copy to Figma. Completed downloads, clipboard copying and cloud uploads have separate outcomes. Settings offers left/right docking; Hide rail keeps it hidden until the toolbar reopens it. No LilLabr account is needed. A purple wave shows when capture work is running and disappears when it finishes. Reduced-motion preferences keep the indicator still. CLOUD SYNC AND LOCAL HANDOFFS Before your first capture or connection under the new practices, the inline introduction explains that each future capture sends its complete .labr archive and thumbnail to the developer-operated LilLabr cloud. These can contain page content, images, visible form values and the page address. The service operator can read them; LilLabr does not provide end-to-end encryption. Start capturing & sync turns Cloud sync On for future captures in a new installation. An existing explicit Off choice stays Off. The Start action itself does not register a workspace or upload earlier captures. Turn Cloud sync Off in Settings before capturing a page you do not want to upload. Earlier local captures are not uploaded automatically when you accept the introduction or turn sync on. Save .labr and direct paste remain available as local handoffs. Connect to Figma requests an eight-character pairing code that you paste into the companion LilLabr Figma plugin; requesting a code while Cloud sync is Off keeps it Off. Uploaded flow lists completed uploads and can start a new flow without deleting the old one. PRIVACY AND LIMITS LilLabr uses website access when you request a capture to read the selected page and readable embedded frames and retrieve declared images, icons, backgrounds and fonts. Passwords and identified card fields are masked in editable scene data and direct paste. Populated text inputs, textareas and selects inside embedded frames are also masked. The separate screenshot thumbnail can still show original form pixels; unmarked top-level card fields may be captured. Capture is not a complete redaction system. The latest local capture can remain in extension storage for up to 24 hours for Copy or Save retry; Forget latest local capture removes it sooner. The system clipboard and its history or sync can retain a copied payload. Complete cloud archives expire after seven days and are removed on a later sync request; the service keeps the newest 50 per workspace. Turning sync Off or clearing a connection does not delete uploaded copies. Delete or Delete flow in the paired plugin removes listed cloud copies after confirmation; saved files and imported Figma layers remain separate. Blocked assets and unavailable fonts may prevent a complete import. Chrome system pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be captured. OPTIONAL USAGE ANALYTICS Analytics starts Off in Chrome and the Figma plugin. Settings has a separate switch with a brief disclosure and Privacy link; no install/update analytics wizard is required. Opt-in sends limited LilLabr feature actions, outcomes, counts and durations with a random persistent ID to PostHog US Cloud. Captured content, page URLs, titles, pairing codes and tokens are excluded. There is no session recording or automatic browsing tracking. Turning it Off stops new events and clears that local ID. This choice is separate from Cloud sync. OPTIONAL REVIEW REQUESTS Chrome review controls appear after five successful usable captures; the Figma plugin separately counts successful supported .labr file imports. Automatic requests wait until idle at 5, 15, 30, 50 and 100 successes. Later or closing a request waits until the next milestone; after 100 it stops automatic requests. The voluntary review link stays available after five. Opening the official listing suppresses automatic requests for 90 days. LilLabr does not observe or claim a submitted review or rating.
