Lightning Connect is a Chrome extension that brings essential Salesforce developer and data workflows into one focused workspace. Work directly with your active Salesforce session to: - Explore Salesforce objects, fields, records, and organization details. - Build, validate, execute, and review SOQL queries. - Export query results to CSV or Excel, or copy them for further use. - Import records from CSV, Excel, pasted data, or manual entry. - Map fields, validate staged records, and review changes before execution. - Discover metadata components and create downloadable Metadata API packages. - Browse, edit, compare, and work with supported Salesforce source files. - Use developer-focused tools such as Anonymous Apex, SOQL, test execution, and log analysis. - Save preferences, query history, mappings, package configurations, and local workspace files in your browser. Lightning Connect is designed to reduce context switching while keeping Salesforce context, validation, and review steps visible. It uses the Salesforce session already active in your browser and does not require a separate Salesforce password or API token.
