Overview
Blocks distracting sites during LifeZeus focus sessions and syncs website usage analytics to the LifeZeus app.
LifeZeus Helper is the official companion extension for LifeZeus. It helps users stay focused by blocking distracting websites during active focus sessions and by syncing browsing activity with LifeZeus so users can review analytics inside the app. The extension works together with the LifeZeus web app. Once connected, it automatically follows the user’s focus settings from LifeZeus, so there is no need to manage blocked websites separately inside the extension. What LifeZeus Helper does • Automatically blocks distracting websites during active Pomodoro and focus sessions started in LifeZeus • Supports both blocklist mode and allowlist mode, depending on the session settings configured in LifeZeus • Shows a clean focus screen when a blocked website is opened • Displays current extension and session status from the browser popup • Syncs with LifeZeus so blocking starts and stops automatically with the user’s focus session • Records website usage activity and sends aggregated usage data to LifeZeus so users can view analytics and productivity insights in the app Website usage analytics When connected to LifeZeus, the extension may collect and transmit website usage information such as visited domains, visit counts, and time spent so that this information can be displayed in LifeZeus analytics and reporting features. This helps users better understand where time is spent, review browsing patterns, and measure progress toward focus and productivity goals. How it works 1-Install the extension 2-Connect it to a LifeZeus account 3-Start a focus session in LifeZeus 4-The extension applies the current blocking rules automatically 5-Website usage data is synced to LifeZeus analytics 6-When the session ends, browsing restrictions are removed automatically Why use this extension LifeZeus Helper reduces friction between planning and execution. Instead of relying only on willpower, users can turn their focus rules into active enforcement. At the same time, browsing activity can be reflected inside LifeZeus analytics, making it easier to understand habits, reduce distractions, and improve productivity over time. Who it is for • Students who want fewer distractions while studying • Professionals who use Pomodoro or time-blocking workflows • Remote workers who want stronger focus protection during work sessions • LifeZeus users who want both site blocking and in-app website usage analytics Important note LifeZeus Helper is not a standalone website blocker. It is intended to be used with the LifeZeus platform, where focus sessions, blocking preferences, and analytics are managed. Permissions overview LifeZeus Helper requests the permissions needed to provide focus protection and analytics features, including: • Website access, so blocked pages can be intercepted and redirected during active sessions • Storage, so connection state and settings can be saved locally • Tabs and windows, so active browsing state can be handled correctly • Idle and alarms, so the extension can stay synced in the background and keep session and analytics data up to date Privacy and data use LifeZeus Helper is built to support focus-session enforcement and website usage analytics inside LifeZeus. When connected, the extension may process browsing activity and website usage information in order to provide blocking, reporting, analytics, and productivity insights within the LifeZeus platform. It is not intended for advertising or sale of personal data.
