LifeDots – LeetCode & Habit Time Tracker
Overview
Counts real minutes on the sites you choose, like LeetCode or NeetCode. One dot a day. No streaks. Nothing leaves your computer.
LifeDots is a time tracker. It counts the time you actually spend doing one thing you care about — and nothing else. Practising DSA? Add leetcode.com and neetcode.io, set a daily target like 25 minutes, and LifeDots counts only the minutes you are actually on those sites. The same works for anything you practise in the browser: a language course, a writing app, a course platform. Tell it one habit and the websites that habit happens on. It counts the minutes you genuinely spend there, stops when you walk away from the keyboard, and fills today's dot when you hit your target. The toolbar icon IS that dot: hollow in the morning, solid when the day is done. You never log anything. There is no box to tick, no app to remember to open, no entry to make at 11pm about a day you can no longer recall. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Nothing ever resets. A filled dot is permanent. A bad week is a few empty circles, not a counter wiped back to zero. There are no streaks in LifeDots, on purpose. See the whole year. One page shows every day you finished, the hours you spent on the habit and the days left this year. Every day you finish stays there permanently. It never blocks you. If you wander off during a focus session it says so, once, and then leaves you alone. It is a witness, not a warden. It cannot see your browsing. LifeDots only has access to the specific sites you name, one at a time, and you grant each one yourself. On every other site it is structurally unable to read the address — which is why, when you drift, it can only say that you are not on the work. It genuinely does not know where you went. Nothing leaves your computer. There is no server, no account, no sync and no analytics. The extension makes no network requests at all. That is a fact about how it is built, not a promise, and you can check it: the source is public at github.com/rdeepak-711/lifedots-extension (GPL-3.0). OPTIONAL FOCUS SESSIONS Start twenty-five minutes if you want a timer. It shows what was the work and what was not — both numbers, always, because a session that quietly hid the drifted minutes would be flattering you rather than informing you. Sessions are never a gate. Your minutes are counted whether or not one is running, so you can never lose a day by forgetting to press start. WHAT IT DOES NOT CLAIM It knows you were there. It does not know you did the work — twenty-five minutes on a page is evidence, not proof. It only has to be harder to fool than your own memory at the end of a long day, and it comfortably is. Free, and the whole thing works. There is no locked core feature. One habit. Real minutes. A year that can't be reset.
